She understands what it takes to build and maintain healthy communities, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
A healthy community is one in which:
✔ People can afford to meet their basic needs, including health care
✔ People are safe in their homes, their schools, their places of worship, and in public spaces
✔ People have access to quality public education, including well funded special education programs
Our country and state are melting pots of abilities, ethnicities, cultures, faith traditions, family structures, and political views. I see diversity as an asset, not something to fear. There is room here for all of us.
Enough of the fear and division. Let's turn the page to hope and health.
